{"id":580,"date":"2013-11-03T11:54:42","date_gmt":"2013-11-03T16:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/tim.mcguinn.es\/s\/?p=580"},"modified":"2015-07-23T01:18:11","modified_gmt":"2015-07-23T01:18:11","slug":"first-dome-visit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/tim.mcguinn.es\/s\/?p=580","title":{"rendered":"First Dome Visit"},"content":{"rendered":"<div id=\"attachment_581\" style=\"width: 430px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"http:\/\/tim.mcguinn.es\/s\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_4919_SUdome600.jpg\"><img aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-581\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\" wp-image-581 \" alt=\"First Dome Visit\" src=\"http:\/\/tim.mcguinn.es\/s\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/12\/IMG_4919_SUdome600.jpg\" width=\"420\" height=\"269\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-581\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">She&#8217;s calling for the red dog.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>We had an opportunity to make our first family visit to the <a class=\"zem_slink\" title=\"Carrier Dome\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.com\/maps?ll=43.0361111111,-76.1363888889&amp;spn=0.01,0.01&amp;q=43.0361111111,-76.1363888889 (Carrier%20Dome)&amp;t=h\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"geolocation\">Carrier Dome<\/a> this weekend to see SU play Wake Forrest.<\/p>\n<p>I was looking to make this trip for the last two season&#8217;s, but it&#8217;s difficult to plan ahead when your window is for early afternoon starts and game times aren&#8217;t announced until a week before.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to a fortunate lunch outing earlier in the week where I ran into Angela and Sonny Spera, friends going way back and SU grads, we were able to join their group and see the game. \u00a0It all worked out very well; it also happened to be Family Day so we were also able to enjoy the SU Marching Band and bouncy houses on The Quad.<\/p>\n<p>Also, it&#8217;s still difficult to see where SU is going to fit into the ACC, but on this day the Orange gave us an <a href=\"http:\/\/scores.nbcsports.msnbc.com\/cfb\/boxscore.asp?gamecode=201311020014&amp;home=14&amp;vis=9&amp;final=true\">impressive 13-0 win<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"zemanta-pixie\" style=\"margin-top: 10px; height: 15px;\"><a class=\"zemanta-pixie-a\" title=\"Enhanced by Zemanta\" href=\"http:\/\/www.zemanta.com\/?px\"><img class=\"zemanta-pixie-img\" style=\"border: none; float: right;\" alt=\"Enhanced by Zemanta\" src=\"http:\/\/img.zemanta.com\/zemified_e.png?x-id=8eaa7427-797b-4dc4-a469-7ae5efd8df90\" \/><\/a><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We had an opportunity to make our first family visit to the Carrier Dome this weekend to see SU play Wake Forrest.
